Shuka Couture

Kim Jones, the new men’s style director at Louis Vuitton Homme under the direction of Marc Jacobs debuted his collection.
According to me, this is the best Men's collection by LV since time immemorial.

The reason being...wait for it...IT FEATURES MAASAI SHUKAS!!

YEEES...Those blue and red shukas that our very own maasais wear, where showcased in Paris as part of LV's Homme spring/summer 2012 collection

I am actually doing the Maasai Jump which is my new official happy dance.

Kim jones said that the Spring/Summer 2012 collection ”is about someone who, from America and England, picks up and leaves and goes slightly native.”

Well, we here in Africa say that some of us (read: The Maasai of East Africa) rock that everydaayyy!!

And honey...Shukas are now haute couture. Why dont you go ahead and get yourself one??

The way life goes.

Hey, guys, i want to introduce something fresh to this blog.

From today onwards i will be posting my creative writing pieces. This pieces will be candid and with alot of perspectives on life. This are the pieces i write when i sit down and contemplate my life. This will be my way of sharing my journey with you guys so as to provoke thought and also relate with you guys at a deeper, more meaningful level.

This pieces will be straight from my soul to yours.

Here is my first one:

It comes to a point in a person’s life when you outgrow, you move on, walk away, let go and drop a lot of things in your life. Things that once in your life where part and parcel of your being. People that you held close to your heart. Things that you could not go a day without. Bonds and ties that where so strong and key. Now, they are all gone with the wind.

You say goodbye to this things and people with no remorse because you deeply know that its time for you to do that, time for you to watch the sun go down on that part of your life. To blow off the candles. And sometimes, you do just that, So easily with no inhibitions or second guessing your decision.

This begs the question why? Why is it that sometimes it is so easy to walk away? How can you just let go of something that was so much a part of you?

LANVIN'S LAUNCHES IT'S FIRST KIDDIES COLLECTION

To all the yummy mummy's, this one is for you and your kids!

Lanvin just launched "lanvin Petite" a spectacular and "oh-so-cute" line for kids.

I just died when i saw this plus those kids are the cutest models i have ever seen. Don't you think so?

The collection will be out in november...

Ai'nt the clothes pretty? And dont these kids look so adorable??

And here is a photo of the cutest kid i know. An up and coming model; Charity Grace Glorious who also happens to double as my kid sister.

P.S: since the collection will be fresh in november. Why don't you get your kid this for Christmas??

MY OTHER HALF

Ladies and Gentlemen....i introduce you to my other half: Choreography and Styling.

I am also uber excited to introduce you to a spectacular photographer Joe Makeni.

It's official!!

I will be Choreographing and Styling shoots for one epic photographer with a passion for Scenery and fashion photography who also has a knack for adventure and he is quite the perfectionist. He is just the perfect combination of THE PHOTOGRAPHER i have always wanted to work with.

I fell in love with his work the first time i saw it.

So when we met and booth showed interest in working together, I was overcomed with so much joy.

This is a dream come true for me.

Our first work is still cooking but i guarantee you... EPICNESS
