Bag in the wind.

Warembo!!
i am going through a quarter life crisis i tell you all.
For a moment there, i felt like ditching everything i know for something else-i dont know what. All i know i wanted something free, something airy, something that would'nt consume me.
I just wanted to be a bag in the wind!!

Yes...thats exactly  where i am right now.  In a place of goodbyes. That place where you just want to say Ta-ta to everything.

In my case, i want to say goodbye to University (i have 18 more credit hours), goodbye to Involvement (the newspaper i write for),goodbye to Jahazi and every other show i do on Shine FM,goodbye to TOKA Africa, my jewellery expo, goodbye to Uhidaya-my baby; a fashion blog i started with my pals( i sadly said goodbye to this one) and goodbye to just anything and everything i have known for the last 22 years of my existence with exception from my family.

Oh well, this is supposed to be mainly a fashion blog, so i digress. but you know what? The inspiration for that loong personal rant was fashion!!

Yes, fashion. I know you wonder how fashion and my quarter life crisis are connected.
Sometime in february just after divorcing with my baby, Uhidaya( i am yet to blog about her..watch this space)  I got a call from an amazing fashionista, Nancie mwai who runs a sucessful east african fashion blog, the fashion notebook to do a shoot for her up and coming magazine- KASHA.

Miss quarter life crisis here said YEESS.

Mainly because i love anything and everything  fashion and also because the shoot was going to supply me with a breath of fresh air to my  new bag in the wind existence.
So i did it, and boy! did it turn gorgeous?

The theme was romantic, but to me it also had that flowy, free, breathy feel to it. Which reminded me of a bag in the wind (a beautiful one, if i may add)

We used Curtains for dresses. can you believe it?  And the shoot was at a rusty  railway station.

The first spectacular photo is out and i just wanted to share with you all...

come april the thirteen, KASHA comes out and  then i'll blog all about that experience, more fabolous pics and something special about that day.
so hold your breath Mrembooo.

The Neo-African detail:

Can you  see all the African love going on the shoot??
I died for  the brass bangles and that neckpiece, inspired by Ghana... Fit for an African godess :)

I just cant wait to share the whole experience with you guys.

...and oh! dont get this twisted...i am fabolous, still as crazy and as stylish as they come.

ANCORA IMPARO.
